Our Location:
The Martinez y Ewens Anasazi Ranch is 30 minutes from Taos, world renowned center of painting and crafts as well as the site of the Taos Pueblo, the oldest continuously lived in dwelling in North America. We are about an hour and forty minutes from Santa Fe, a fascinating city which is prominent in stories of the old west. From Santa Fe: Follow Highway 285 north to and through Española. Follow Highway 68 towards Taos as far as the turnoff to Dixon. Turn right at Dixon onto Highway 75, which will take you through Dixon to Peñasco. At the Peñasco garage, keep to your right and follow Highway 73. Keep to your right and wind up onto the mesa. The paved road ends in Llano. Take a left towards the Jicarita Peak. The Anasazi Ranch is about two miles on your left side after the paved road ends. From Taos: Take highway 68 south from the Taos Plaza about 3 miles to Highway 518. Turn left and continue the scenic drive through the Carson National Forest to the sign for Peñasco at the bottom of a steep grade. Turn right sharply onto Highway 75. In Peñasco, turn a sharp left at the Peñasco garage. This is Highway 73. Stay to your right and follow the road up onto the mesa. The paved road ends in Llano. Take a left towards the Jicarita Peak. The Anasazi Ranch is about two miles on your left side after the paved road ends. |
